The World Visits Dollywood As The 2013 Season Begins!


- Saturday: March 23, 2013 -  Dollywood opens for the 2013 season by welcoming the World, and the lovely country singer herself!  Here’s what’s happening at Dollywood now as the park kicks off the new season in grand fashion. Dollywood News for 2013 -AND- 2014


Dollywood confirmed today via Twitter, various media outlets, and websites (Screamscape, Theme Park Review) that the Imagination Cinema and Adventure Mountain will both be closing at the end of the 2013 season, with a new show and attraction replacing both in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Imagination Cinema will become a new show venue with an all new Dolly family show. The far more intriguing bit is the removal of Adventure Mountain, which is a quite popular ropes/climbing course that was added only a few years back.
