Six Flags Great America On Sunday, October 12 I arrived at Six Flags Great America just as the park was opening. I would have all day Sunday and a couple of hours on Monday, Columbus Day, before I had to head home. This was one of the few parks that would be open on Columbus Day, and apparently in Illinois school must be out for the holiday. As I knew this year I would be narrowing down the wood coasters in the U.S. that I have not ridden to single digits, I felt strongly that I needed to ride a Rocky Mountain Construction wood coaster. Legoland Florida After leaving Busch Gardens Tampa Saturday afternoon Richard and I made a detour in ACE Fall Conference 2014 for a quick stop at Legoland Florida in Winter Haven. Formerly Cyprus Gardens, I visited this attraction as a child as well as during the time that the amusement park was added and it became Cyprus Gardens Adventure Park.
