The World Visits Dollywood As The 2013 Season Begins!

- Saturday: March 23, 2013 -  Dollywood opens for the 2013 season by welcoming the World, and the lovely country singer herself!  Here’s what’s happening at Dollywood now as the park kicks off the new season in grand fashion. New Disney World passholder card gets you into parks faster

LAKE BUENA VISTA –  Getting into Walt Disney World just got easier for annual passholders. Wednesday, Disney unveiled a new card for passholders to replace their current paper passes. The new card takes advantage of the new touch-to-enter feature Disney has been adding to the theme parks’ entrance gates. A photo posted on the official Disney World Passholders’ Facebook account shows what appears to be a plastic card being swiped across a round sensor containing the iconic Mickey Mouse symbol. End is near for Disney Channel Rocks show, Countdown to Fun parade at Hollywood Studios

March 21, 2013|By Dewayne Bevil, Orlando Sentinel Disney World is pulling the plug on two of its live-entertainment options at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park next month. The last day for the Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun parade and the Disney Channel Rocks street show will be April 6, a Disney World spokeswoman confirms. Countdown to Fun features characters from animated films such as “Toy Story,” “Monsters, Inc.,” “The Incredibles,” “Up,” “A Bug’s Life” and “Ratatouille.” It debuted in early 2011, taking over for a similar presentation known as Block Party Bash. Yesterday, LEGOLAND Florida announced an expansion to the park centered around their Legends of Chima LEGO brand line which will inclue a new attraction. The area, dubbed World of Chima, is set to open this summer. The centerpiece of this new area will be the Quest for CHI interactive water ride. Walt Disney World Announces Disney Springs Transformation for Downtown Disney

Yesterday the Walt Disney World Resort announced major changes coming to its Downtown Disney area of the resort. Dubbed Disney Springs, this multi-year, multi-phase transformation of the Downtown Disney area will bring new shops, restaurants, activities, and easier convenience to visit the area with consolidated bus areas and new multi-level parking decks. Fun Spot America is looking great! A green arch now welcomes guests on the North side of I-4 acting as a beacon to fun. This green arch is towering over 3 go cart tracks, and a lot of construction. A VERY picture-es suspended kiddy coaster with yellow track, trimmed with supports of blue, “Rocket Man” looks nearly completed. The GCI Wooden coaster themed to a train is living up to the wonderful architecture a GCI tends to provide.
